Vietnam is the world's ninth largest textile exporter

According to a report by Vietnam's 'Saigon Liberation Daily' on April 11, 2007 was a year of rapid development of Vietnam's textile industry. The output value of the textile industry increased by 17.9%, and the main products maintained growth. Among them, pure cotton yarn increased by 11%, silk increased by 8.9%, knitted clothing increased by 8.8%, and textile clothing increased by 12.6%.   It is reported that in 2007, Vietnam’s textile exports reached 7.78 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 34.5% over the previous year, making it the ninth largest textile exporter in the world. Among them, exports to the United States are 4.5 billion U.S. dollars, making it the third largest exporter of textiles to the United States.
