Fujibo has recently stated that it will restructure its textile business and form a new production and sales system. The specific contents include strengthening the one-stop production system from yarns, textiles to finished products, increasing the development of strategic products, and reorganizing external production and sales operations. Beginning in February last year, Fujibo decided to adjust the five-year mid- to long-term plan called Transformation 06-10. After entering 2008, the company closed the Fenghama plant and Fujibo (Korea) one after another. Among them, the Fengbin factory has 11,000 spindles and 60 looms. The above adjustments quickly took effect. In the third quarter of 2007, the company's textile business saw a 19% decrease in sales revenue over the same period of the previous year, and its sales profit reached 87 million yen, which was 3.8 times that of the same period of the previous year. Therefore, the company plans to continue to make adjustments to its existing business starting from 2008, while strengthening its advantageous business, it also eliminates part of the business that has suffered losses for many years. The company clearly pointed out that in 2008, it will work hard to turn losses into profits in its chemical fiber business. Although the scale of cotton spinning has decreased after the closure of the Fengbin factory, the company believes that by increasing the proportion of differentiated products, it is expected to increase sales profits. At present, Fujibo is strengthening cooperation with shirt companies, uniform companies, and knitted fabric manufacturers in order to give full play to the company's advantages in production and expand its business scope. The areas that the company plans to focus on are: men's underwear fabrics, women's underwear fabrics, etc. At the same time, the company will increase its investment in research and development. To this end, the company has established a textile product development department to respond to consumer demand for functional textiles.
