India will participate in the French textile fair for the first time
The Indian Apparel Export Promotion Committee (AEPC) will participate in the INTERSELECTION (French International Apparel Wholesalers Exhibition) held from May 5th to 7th for the first time. AEPC will set up 10 booths at the Paris fair. The organizer of the trade fair is Euro Vet, a professional trade fair organization. France International Garment Wholesalers Exhibition builds a global platform through which buyers can purchase a variety of high-quality fashion textiles. This is an international event that will promote the global export of textile industry, clothing, apparel, luggage, shoes and jewelry. French International Garment Wholesalers Exhibition will provide visitors with opportunities to help them discover fashion trends. The French International Garment Wholesalers Exhibition in May focuses on three aspects: ready-to-wear, organic textiles and apparel. The fair will display approximately 1,000 series of men's, women's and children's clothing and apparel. At the three-day trade fair, six fashion shows will be held, and nearly 6,300 buyers from 56 countries will visit. The French monopoly retail chain will constitute the main buyer. France International Clothing Wholesale Trade Fair has a history of 26 years. In 2006-07, India’s share of the French apparel import market was 3.25%, and the value of apparel exports was US$772 million. The ready-to-wear garments consist of trousers, loose tops, T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, pullovers, cardigans for men and boys, cotton vests, knitted garments, skirts, and cotton non-suit skirts, and ladies' clothing. This year, AEPE has a busy schedule, and the organization will participate in a series of trade fairs. Including the Dubai Motexha trade fair from March 31st to April 21st, the South Africa trade fair in April, the Hong Kong Fashion Week in July, the Magic Fair in Las Vegas in August, and the Helsinki Fashion Fair in Finland.
