Shashi Singh, India’s Mumbai Textile Co-Commissioner, said that with the market’s attention and demand for technical textiles, India may invest heavily in technical textiles in the coming years. Shashi Singh said that the consumption of technical textiles in India is increasing, and if domestic investment is not made, it must continue to rely on imports. Shashi Singh said that within 1 to 2 years, the Indian industrial textile industry will rise. In order to strengthen technology research and development capabilities, India will establish a number of advanced research centers. The South India Textile Research Association will establish the Medical Textile Advanced Research Center, the North India Textile Research Association will establish the Industrial Textile Advanced Research Center, the Bombay Textile Research Association will establish the Biotextile Research Center, the Comprehensive and Art Silk Textile Mills Research Association, and the man-made textile research.
