France pays attention to the trends of China's textile industry

According to a recent report by French 'Textile Daily. The paper said that due to the depreciation of the U.S. dollar, the rise in labor costs and raw materials, and the reduction in export tax rebates, Chinese exporters are very worried about the decline in their profits. However, facing price increases and competition and challenges from Asian counterparts India, Pakistan and Vietnam cannot make up for these losses. The newspaper stated that in early 2007, China’s official website reported that its profit surplus in the textile industry was less than 3.7%, roughly equivalent to two-thirds of the average industrial profit. The report at that time attributed the reason to the appreciation of the renminbi, the reduction in export tax rebates and the increase in related environmental restrictions, but at the same time emphasized that the textile industry is too dependent on imports and lacks independent innovation capabilities.
